"We read reviews before we visited TDW but thought going in person we
could avoid being ripped off, thinking they ship out the worst. We were
wrong. These people are really good at what they do. Ripping people off.
We purchased for pallets for a total of 3200.00 and we were adament
that we needed new merchandise, we were told many times they guarantee
less than 10 percent of the items were returns and 90 percent was shelf
pulls. What a lie. 99.9% of the junk we received was opened with parts
missing, or it used, broken nasty. They are masters at arranging the
pallets so that the items look new, this would be why you cannot look
into the pallet, from the outside it looks great. he front of the box is
perfect and the back completely missing. Is that a big wheel I see on
top of the pallet, yep, except it is missing the big wheel and the seat,
some kid will have a lot of fun with that. One of the pallets was a
walmart toy pallet I found maybe two items that worked, they were out of
the package and I was able to give them to my child, one was doll the
other a vtech reader the rest of the pallet incuding the fancy big wheel
found their way to the dumpster. I also purchased 3 carson pallets with
a lot of keurigs, matress pads and comforters. All of the items were
opened, gross used mattress pads. More to the dumpster. The real find
was hidden inside the center of the last pallet was the nastiest,
stinkiest used comforter that had been returned, why wouldn't you just
throw that away? Well it was a great space filler I guess. If you decide
to buy from TDW make sure you save some of your money to pay for the
disposal of the items you receive."

TDW's Customer (Dis)Service
Customer service is an important part of any business. Sometimes we have questions about products or services, complaints, and other concerns that we hope could be addressed by the company. From my experience TDW's customer service could use some major improvement.

Coaster Company Furniture Salvage Part 01
Take a look at the "furniture" I received to get an idea of what to expect when doing business with The Discount Warehouse.
Introduction
I ordered two shipments from the The Discount Warehouse. I was under the impression that this was a legitimate company that would ship you merchandise in good condition. What I received looked like it came from straight from a junkyard. When I showed them the pictures they pretended that this was a rare occurrence but it was part of the business sometimes you receive good loads and sometimes bad loads. Both shipments I received were absolute trash. If I had known that there was ANY risk that the entire shipment would be garbage then I would have never done business with them. They should be honest and warn you about this risk upfront.
I would like to know who thought it would be a good idea to put this garbage in boxes and actually charge people for it. It would cost almost as much as the furniture is worth to fix them. If people want furniture in this condition they would go to a junkyard not order it online. When I asked for a refund I was offered a credit towards my next purchase. After two shipments of broken merchandise I would never trust this company with a third shipment.
I made this blog to expose TDW and warn others of what to expect when doing business with them. I wasted time and money by trusting this company so I hope this blog can prevent people from wasting theirs.
