FOB Shipping Points (that don't exist)

It was brought to my attention that on their website TDW claims to have FOB Shipping points in Ohio, New Jersey, and Texas. A customer asked if they could visit the Texas shipping point but TDW declined telling that it wasn't open to the public. They also couldn't provide him any actual evidence that these shipping points even exist. The customer repeated asked if they could provide a physical address so that he could at least see the location but of course TDW used multiple excuses to avoid answering that simple question. 

The representative claimed that Walmart, Home Depot, and other major corporations have distribution centers that aren't open to the public. The difference which TDW doesn't seem to understand is that all these locations have a physical address and phone number so you can verify that they're real. For example here is a list of every Walmart distribution center. Even if they aren't open to the public you are free to drive by them or call them.

My question is why would TDW claim to have these warehouses if they can't provide any evidence that these exist? It's most likely another attempt to make their business appear larger and more successful than it really is. Anyone can claim they have thousands of happy customers or locations worldwide but without any evidence then they would have a difficult time convincing anyone. 

Another lie TDW told the customer is that if he purchased from other dealers that he would be indirectly buying from them. This can be found on their website:

We are not brokers: we own all the salvage and closeout merchandise that we offer to our clients. Due to our large volume of loyal customers, we are at the top and have major buying power. Many other brokers and suppliers that are offering the same merchandise, are actually buying from us. So, the way to save money and increase your profits is to buy direct from TDW, Inc., your #1 direct surplus and closeouts wholesaler. 

The customer asked repeated for any sort of proof that other dealers are buying from TDW but the company couldn't provide any email address or name of a business. Every company knows that providing proof of happy customers could help to attract more in the future. That's why many provide testimonials and the names of their largest clients or customers. TDW doesn't understand this concept and thinks that pretending they have all of these is enough to convince people to buy from them.
