False Advertising:
"Any advertising or promotion that misrepresents the nature, characteristics, qualities or geographic origin of goods, services or commercial activities"

Would these count as false advertising?

Scamexposure.com:
"I saw the BBB certification at the door and I Felt secure making moy order so I did. I placed an order for the NAME BRAND HANDBAGS 18 dollars each. They gave a bunch of little pocket books and some purses BUT half of them wer FAKE/ Counterfeits I felt so upset and abused."

Freeadvice.com:
"I Purchased 500 pieces of high end cosmetics from TDW closeouts it's an on line company that sells over stock items, shelf pulls and so on. they emailed me and informed me in early October that they have received a large shipment of high end cosmetics from Federated Department stores...On 11/08/04 I received the merchandise to my shock the merchandise Were old used tested store returns, some were marked for destruction total garbage."
I place an order of their best quality on April 15, 2013. I bought 20 Bails of Premium clothing from TDW Closeouts. They even increased the price by 50 % because the clothing was supposed to be the best they had. - See more at: http://www.bbb.org/south-east-florida/business-reviews/surplus-and-salvage-merchandise-stores/discount-warehouse-inc-the-in-sunrise-fl-26000540/complaints#sthash.sKRrMMAd.dpuf

"I place an order of their best quality on April 15, 2013. I bought 20 Bails of Premium clothing from TDW Closeouts. They even increased the price by 50 % because the clothing was supposed to be the best they had. However, after all the expenses incurred to have the merchandise transported, shipping, tax, etc. I invited my customer to seed the merchandise, and it was embarrassing to see the collective reaction of each an everyone of them. I was given rags the worst quality of merchandise you can expect. I offer the merchandise for .20 cents a pound and no one offer to buy."

Complaintsboard.com:
"I bought a sporting good load of returns from academy sports and outdoors, i was promised 20 pallets or so of mixed merchandise. All i go was garbage, a collection of above ground broken swimming pools, various set of pipes that were once exercise machines, what wasn't broken, was stained or greatly used."

Pissedcustomer.com:
"First load from Big-5 sporting goods, I was told and have in writing from TDW that it was a "full load hand packed" floor to roof truck packed tightly. When I received the truck most of it was knee high to me and was mostly garbage that went straight to the dump. I have photos. The next load was to be "all new mix of product to contain trees, wrapping paper, bows, ribbon, yard displays, lights, decorations, tote bags, x-mas gadgets, ribbon, out door sculptures, and ornaments, I received only trees and yard statues and it is all used and all marked damaged defective and is mostly junk. They put in writing that it was NEW and 26 pallets. It is all used and I received only 19 pallets. I spent a total of $22500.00 on the 2 loads and have only trash."

Yahoo.com:
"I purchased $2400 of designer merchandise from TDW Closeouts, The Discount Warehouse in Sunrise, Florida, and got mostly towels and washcloths and they weren't designer quality. It was mostly worthless. Save your money."

"TDW CLOSEOUTS DISCOUNT WAREHOUSE it's the worst company to do business with.I spent $4000 dollar and got nothing useless merchandise NOT counting the Fake stuff i got in my load."

"I spent 4646.00 dollars with TDW, they sent about 50% of the items that clearly were marked form the store broken torn, not working. Another 25% was damaged because they didnt put any packagin in the boxes they sent so glasses, dishes, plates, etc were broke. For 4646.00 I ended up with about 800-1200 in saleable merchandise. I was a new start up store and it really hurt me getting screwed this way."

Ripoffreport.com:
"We were interested in purchasing brand new in boxes closeout/overstock toys to sell at the local Flea market in town. We were informed by a Ms Martine that for 2500.00 plus 450.00 shipping that we would recieve a pallet that was approx 8 feet tall full of toys. The description of what was given to us to receive in the shipment is as follows: All New Brand Name Toys All toys are new 1st quality in original boxes. You get an assortment of action toy figures, dolls, remote control toys , talking toys, Barbie. Contains name brand toys : Mattel, Galoob , Hasbro, Kenner, Toy Biz, Barbie and more. Make your own load. Your price is as pennies on the dollar. We made 4 lots available for you. Sample lot #1: $7500 to $8500 retail value.  No where in this decription does it say that this shipment will consist of educational books, activity books, stickers, hardcover books, coloring books, song books, learning cards, puzzles, workbooks, etc.. I believe that the wrong shipment was sent to us and need to know how we can go about resolving this issue as more than half of the shipment is BOOKS!"

"A good mix of health and beauty supplies was what I ordered. I received 3 pallets of broken toys, broken electronics, candy and pills outdated by 4 years, and almost no name brand product. I called about 15X on 4/2/07 before I could talk to a manager personally. The sales staff kept putting me into voicemail even though I repeatedly said I would stay on hold."

"I was supposed to be buying $3000 worth of Sears electronics through "The Discount Warehouse". I was promised that the 3 pallet lot I was buying was to include DVD players, TV's, stereos and various other home electronics.I wired them the money, and drove up to Walnut, CA to get my merchandise. What I ended up with was about $250 worth of microwaves. Nothing else was there. The warehouse owner informed me that TDW paid them $250 for the microwaves."

"i sent tdw $1900.00 for 3 pallets of sears tools. when received, first of all there wasn't that much and what was there was broken, missing critical parts or not working at all. needless to say i was less than thrilled. i am a fix it type person but this stuff was beyond that."

"I bought 2 pallets of Federated Dept stores' overstock merchandise from TDW. I wired $2,170.58 on 1/12/04. The salesperson, Angie, and I emailed back and forth. I have the emails that were sent. She states the products are overstock, returns and shelf pull merchandise from Federated. On TDW's website they advertise "directly from the Department Stores Reclamation Centers to you!" and "Huge selection of high-end brand names". When we get the shipment on 1/20/04, we were disgusted to find the boxes were filled with nothing but damaged, used goods. We have over 100 photos and videotape of the goods, which wasted a full day of our time. There are tags on 80% of the items that state "DAMAGE". Some tags say "USED" or "Soiled". Everything is garbage. The tags have dates as old as '99. Not "directly..to you", as they state. Mattress pads are green! Sheets have huge holes in them. Pillows are torn. Not only is this stuff ugly, but they sold us an electric blanket that has a short in it! They're going to hurt somebody!"

"I was told the items were store return and self-pulled items. What I got were used, broken items such as 84 really used and broken weed-wackers,broken air conditioners, tool boxes that looked as if they were dropped from an airplane. Blower vacs that were destroyed, air compressors that don't work and of the so-called hand tools maybe 10-15 percent that were not broken. I have had to trash maybe 20=25 percent of what I bought."

"I ordered 300 new, high-end designer domestic items (bed and bath items) from them. The salesperson knew that I was planning to resell the items on eBay. I paid $5.95 per item ($8.00 apiece with shipping for each item). I received a preponderence of towels and washcloths, mostly single items, counted as one item each. That means that I paid $8.00 for each towel, and each washcloth."

"When I first looked at their web site, I was excited to see that I could acquire brand name clothing such as RL, TOMMY, ETC. at a great price and profit from them. I went ahead and ordered 500 pieces of children's, men's and women's clothing and spent about $3,600.00. Today I received the items and there were no such brand names that they had mentioned to me on the emails and on the phone."

"I ordered a 6' pallet of product and they sent me the wrong stuff only about 3' high... in addition... the stuff wasn't just returned merchandise. It was completely shattered and destroyed like it was dropped off of a 10 story building... that isn't return merchandise! I've been in retail for over 15 years... that isn't return merchandise"

"I ordered a pallet of over-stocked children clothes last December by paying $3500 for one pallet. On the website, it says the pallet contains the brand such as CK, RL, etc. I called them to ask exactly what this etc mean and the representative is called Maria. She told me mostly one pallet will contain CK, RL and other good brands > 70%.That sounds great. So I signed the paper and made the order. In the final order email, Maria didn't mention these brand name any more, which really worries me.Well, after receiving those children clothes, I realize why I never get any email or paper about the exact stuff they put there. I think I am luckier than the other victims. At least, I get sth. which doesn't look that awful but doesn't look as described in their website at all. I got none of the good brand they mentioned. All brands are of Green Dog, First Impression, which looks like from W-Mart. Some original price is even only $5.00 but I paid around $6.00 for each one. Also some clothes really don't like the ones for children."
