$10,820 Worth of Scrap Metal

Posted June 9th, 2014 on Better Business Bureau. If you've read any of the other complaints about TDW then this one will sound familiar:

"We purchased a lot of bicycles, that according to the seller, were in 'good conditions'. When we received the bicycles, they were rusted, broken, defective and incomplete. We were never told the bicycles would be in such poor conditions. These bicycles were part of a 'trade-in' event that was held in a store. People would trade in their old unwanted bikes (in any condition) and receive some sort of credit. These bicycles were not store returns. We attempted to contact the company several times, the woman '*****' answering the phones was extremely rude and unprofessional. When we asked so speak to the supervisor, she claimed he was 'busy' and would not speak with us about the matter. They claim we owe them even more money for the trash they sent us. They proceeded to threaten to call the police if we did not pay them right away, and hung up the phone.
As re-sellers, we understand this merchandise can come defective from the stores sometimes, we understand that merchandise is sold as-is, however, If you are promised merchandise is 'good' conditions, shouldn't we receive merchandise is 'good' conditions? Maybe if we were told that over 75% of the bikes were damaged and rusted we could have attempted to negotiate the price a little better, or maybe passed ** on this offer, but we were not given this opportunity.
One more thing, this company claims: "all merchandise is ship out exactly the way they left their facilities in "As Is condition in Bulk"
If that is the case, they have no idea in what conditions the merchandise is in, how can they say this merchandise is in good conditions, and NONE have rust?
We would like to continue business in the future, but this company is a joke, there are so many negative reviews out there on this company, do they not care for the satisfaction of their customers?
"

Like usual TDW denies ever saying that the bicycles were in "good condition". We're expected to believe that this person agreed to pay $10,000 for bicycles knowing the majority of them were broken and rusted...

"Mr. ***** was told from the beginning that the bicycles were trade in returns from the department store, he received the terms of agreement and he even signed them, in which specified that the product may be damage, salvage and returns, he also received 109 extra bicycles, he agreed to pay the balance he owed, but when the sales representative try to collect the money of the extra bicycles, he refused to pay, claiming that the load was full of returns even thou he was aware when he signed the terms and was told by the sales representative."
