Raphael's New Company: iVisit International

Thanks to John for sharing this information in the comments of a previous blog post.

John shared that Raphael Shabtai has opened up a new business called "iVisit International". It's only fair to warn potential customers since we know the owner has never been honest when dealing with customers of TDW. This is what I could find regarding iVisit International:

"NEW YORK – (May 15th, 2016) Today virtual reality is edging its way into the mainstream. Enter iVISIT International. Imagine stopping at a realtor’s office, donning a pair of 3D Samsung Gear VR goggles and using virtual reality to do an actual walk through of ten properties without ever leaving the realtor’s office. Yet, all your senses tell you—you were there.
...
David Gerhardt, the company’s co-founder and C.E.O., has more than a thirty-year history of starting service-related businesses from scratch. iVISIT International would be his seventh business. He was also a professional photographer at the young age of 14, and continued the love of photography, in one form or another, throughout his life. David lives in Medellin, Colombia with his wife Dayana and works from the company’s South American Headquarters.

Raphael Shabtai, the company’s co-founder and C.F.O., has been in business in Sunrise for over thirty years. He founded the extremely successful The Discount Warehouse which concentrates on the closeout business. He lives in Plantation with his wife his children."

This information was from a press release dated May 15th, 2016. There was a link to a Facebook page and website but they are no longer active. I was able to find their new website and it still lists Mr. David Gerhardt as the CEO but Raphael Shabtai's name has been removed. Could it be that they didn't want to reveal his name because his bad reputation would scare away customers? That seems to be the most likely case because an honest businessman would have no reason to hide his name.

The following is from the operating agreement that can be found here:

"Upon execution of this Operating Agreement, Member Rafael Shabtai, shall contribute $174,600.00 (“Round 1 Capital Contribution”) into a company account at Chase Bank under the name “iVISIT International, LLC.” The Round 1 Capital Contribution shall solely be used for the items described in the iVISIT International Business Plan under sub-section Financial Summary.

Within thirty (30) business days after the depositing of Round 1 contributions, Member Rafael Shabtai, shall contribute $125,400.00 (“Round 2 Capital Contribution”) into the Chase Bank account for iVISIT International, LLC. The Round 2 Capital Contribution shall solely be used for the items described in the iVISIT International Business Plan under sub-section Financial Summary."

Raphael plans to invest $300,000 in total with iVisit. The only active company I could find under Raphael's ownership is TDW Closeouts. This means that all this money came from scamming unsuspecting TDW customers over the years. Hopefully this information will save others before they waste their hard earned money with this con artist.
