50 (Fake) Positive Reviews in One Week?

When you search TDW Closeouts, you may notice that they have 70 Google reviews with an average score of 4.2. This would lead potential customers to believe that TDW Closeouts must an honest company with so many positive reviews. Unfortunately, there are obvious signs that point to these reviews being fake.

I mentioned in a previous post that I received a few comments on my Youtube from people claiming to have had a positive experience with TDW. Coincidentally, all three people had created their Youtube accounts only a few days prior to posting their comment and they also had no other activity on their channel. I asked all three if they could provide evidence that they actually purchased any merchandise from TDW because I had a hard time believing these were real reviews. Two of them didn't reply while one claimed that he was "too busy". He wasn't too busy to make a Youtube account and post a review on TDW's behalf but too busy to take a few minutes and provide evidence to support his review. That doesn't make a lot of sense.

We notice a similar trend in all the positive Google reviews posted within the last week. Everyone username I checked only had that one review for TDW and no other activity. TDW has been in business for decades and within that time, they have had hundreds of negative reviews and no positive ones. There's absolutely no way that they could have dozens of positive reviews within a week when they weren't able to have one positive review within the last 10 years. I would have to say that the majority of these reviews are fake very much like the "positive" reviews for them posted on the Youtube video.
